The Kerala Lok Ayukta criticized the University of Kerala on Friday for his lover of response sheets, which caused the decision to carry out a special reexamal for 71 MBA students. He noted that students forcing students to reexaminations due to the University’s period equivalent to a denial of natural justice.
The Bank of the Division comprising Lok Ayukta N. Anil Kumar and UPA Lok Ayukta Shircy V., which considered a plea or Anjana Pradeep, a former student, also directed the university to grant its average brands for the third semester newspaper project.
The petitioner had not appeared for the reexamination recently made for the role of financing paper of the third semester project, in which 65 students are part and approved the document. While the university offered to perform a special exam for her, Lok Ayukta rejected the proposal, stating that it was impressive and unnecessary.
The Lok Ayukta emphasized that it is the responsibility of the university to safeguard the response scripts and that the fact of not doing so should not lead to undue difficulties for students. “The rewriting of an exam in such circumstances will announce it to affect the academic and mental health of a student. The load of the review and preparation of the same program after a long gap is clearly unreasonable,” said the order.
University sources said that more steps would be taken after seeking legal advice. The University had previously rejected the students’ demand to grant average qualifications, citing concerns that could affect the future perspectives of the students, as well as the integrity of the university.
