Small groups smell to the streets on Friday to register against the new WAQF legislation, which causes significant changes in Muslim endings and bodies that manage them.

They saw demonstrations near the Mecca Masjid near Charminar, Azizia Masjid in Humayun Nagar, Ujale Shah Masjid in Saidabad and other neighborhoods. The protesters carried banners and signs that denounced the legislation and described it as a “black law.”

Conversations, deliberations and public protest meetings have been planned on April 12, 13, 19 and 26. These are under the flag of the Muslim Personal Law Board of All India, the Muslim Joint Action Committee and also for the leaders of Congress. One of the public meetings, on April 19, is scheduled at the headquarters of All India Majlis -E -itthul Muslimaen in Dar Us Salam.
