A Junior Commissioner (JCO) of the Army was killed in a meeting with terrorists throughout the control line (LOC) in the Akhnoor sector in Jammu, but its infiltration offer was frustrated, authorities said on Saturday (April 12, 2025.
They said that the army alert troops collected the movement of a group of very armed terrorists near a stream in a front forest in the Keri Bhattal area on Friday night (April 11, 2025), leading a fierce weapon.
A JCO was injured in the meeting and then succumbed to the injuries, the officials said, and added that the entire area has been remembered with the deployment of reinforcements and a search operation was being carried out when the latest reports were received. In the same area on February 11, two army staff, including one captain, died and another was an injury when terrorists began an improvised explosive device (FDI).
The last incident occurs two days after India and Pakistan celebrated a flag meeting at the Brigade commander in Jammu and the Poonch district of Kashmira to discuss related to border management.
This was the second meeting of this type since February in an effort to unwind the tension after almost an incident boxes of cross -border shot and an attack.
The Indian army presented a strong protest with its counterparts on cross -border terrorist activities and high fire violations.
High fire rapes along the LOC have been very rare since India and Pakistan renewed the high -fire agreement on February 25, 2021.
