The West Bengal Prime Minister, Mamata Banerjee, reiterated on Saturday his position on the WAQF bill and said that the TMC government will not implement the law in the State as not supporting it.

In a long publication in X, Banerjee asked people of all religions to “keep calm” and “remain restricted.”

Each human life is precious, does not incite riots for the sake of politics. Those who are inciting disturbances are damaging society.

Remember, we did not make the law against which many are agitated. The law was made by the central government. So, the answer you want must be sought from the central government. “

In addition, he added that TMC has made clear the bill of the WAQF amendment. It will not be implemented in Western Bengal.

“In addition, remember, we will take legal measures against those who incite disturbances. We will not tolerate any violent activity. Some political parties are trying to discredit religion to obtain political profits. They do not give their persuasion. I think religion and Harman to Goodony maintain peace and harmony,” Mamata said.

Their comments occur when vandalization activities have been reported throughout the Murshidabad de Bengala district in protest against the WAQF amendment bill. Jalangi Bdo’s office in Murshidabad was also destroyed by protesters.
