Youth Congress workers clash with police in Kottayam

The city of Kottayam on Saturday witnessed Saturday that chaotic scenes such as the March task in the workers of the youth congress that demands the resignation of Prime Minister Pinarayi Vijayan about the accusations raised against the financial irregularities that involve their daughter.

The march to the Office of the Chief of District was blocked by the Police using barricades. While the protesters tried to overthrow the barricades, the police used the force to disperse them and display water cannons. Police arrested several protesters when they refused to leave.

UDF leader K. Francis George, deputy, inaugurated the protest.

The traffic along the Kottayam-Kumily road faced small interruptions due to the protests and the clash that occurred.
