Stone pelting during Hanuman Jayanti procession in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna

Security was reinforced in the Madhya Pradesh guna after stones were thrown by a Hanuman Jayanti procession on Saturday (April 12, 2025), authorities said.

The incident occurred around 7.30 pm, after which the authorities moved quickly to control the situation, they said.

“We obtain information about the stone that shows a procession by Hanuman Jayanti. Peace and order were slightly affected by some time,” said the local administration in a statement.

He said that the Toke Imeedia administration and the situation, near a mosque, was controlled in the presence of the police and the income personnel.

“At present, there is a total peace and order in the area. The public is requested to not pay attention to any rumors,” said the statement.

The Superintendent or Police Sanjeev Kumar Sinha said that the situation is under control and that the police have been deployed in the area.

The sources said a dispute between two groups that door to the procession led to the stone fight.
