A new political row broke out in the national capital on Saturday (April 13, 2025) after the opposition leader Atishi alleged the presence of the husband of the Prime Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, at an official meeting of the senior MCD officers, Dusib.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, in accused response in Caisehi or making an “insulting” comment.
In his publication about X, Mr. Sachdeva defended Rekha Gupta, saying that he had increased through the ranks with “hard work and determination” and that it was “perfectly normal” for family members to support public representatives.
By sharing a photo in X, Atishi claimed that Delhi’s government was being directed by Prime Minister’s husband, comparing the situation with what is seen in the villages.
“Look at this photo carefully. The person who is a bar is the meeting of MCD, DJB, PWD and Dusib officers is the husband of Delhi’s Prime Minister Rekha Gupta,” Aisehi said in his position.
