Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch several development initiatives in Haryana on April 14 to commemorate the anniversary of the birth of Bhim Rao Ambedkar, an iconic figure known for its role in the Emancipation of Dalit and for the preparation of the Constitution.

“The prime minister will mark a commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya and will place the stone of the foundation of the new terminal building at the Hisar airport. He will also go to a public meeting,” said a statement.

Later, it will open and place the stone of the base of the development projects in Yamuna Nagar and will go to a public meeting.

“In line with its commitment to make air trips safe, affordable and accessible to all, the prime minister will place the stone of the foundation of the new terminal building of the Maharaja Airport to be in Hisar worth more than ₹ 410 million rupees,” said the statement.

It will include a last generation passenger terminal, a load terminal and an ATC building. He will also mark Hisar’s first flight to Ayodhya.

Scheduled flights from Hisar to Ayodhya (twice a week) and three flights in a week to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Chandigarh: this development will mark a significant leap in Haryana’s aviation connectivity, he said.

Impulse power infrastructure in the region, PM Modi will place the base stone of a modern 800 MW thermal power unit of the Enbandhu Chhotu Ram thermal plant in Yamuna Nagar.

This unit, distributed in 233 acres and with a value of around ₹ 8,470 million rupees, will significantly boost Haryana’s energy self -sufficiency and will provide an uninterrupted food source throughout the state.

By carrying the vision of ‘Gobardhan’ (Galvanizer of Bio-Again Organic Dhan Resources), Prime Minister Modi will place the base stone of a compressed biogas plant in Mukarabpur in Yamuna Nagar.

The plant will have an annual production capacity of 2,600 metric tons and will help an effective organic waste management while contributing to the production of clean energy and environmental conservation, he said.

PM Modi will also open the ByPass Rewari project of 14.4 km, worth around ₹ 1,070 million rupees under the Bharatmala Pariyojana.
