The Indian grid controller Limited (Grid-India) has written to Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited (Tantransco), marking a low power drink of the grid.

The subrawal for the Tantransco has been continuous and the maximum quantum reached around 1,500 MW on April 6, Grid-India said in his letter.

Grid-India is a company under the ministry of power of the Union. One of its regional weapons, the regional southern Load Envarch Center (SRLDC), deals with the functions of the southern region network. Tamil Nadu complies with the summer of the deficit through the acquisition of short -term energy and exchange arrangements.

The power transfer capacity of other states (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana) to Tamil Nadu by interstate transmission lines is called the avoidable transfer capacity (ATC). This is used to extract power from other states that use the existing transmission system through the long -term agreement of the central generating stations, open access to the medium term and open access in the short term. According to the State Department of Energy Department by 2024-25, the ATC was 10,900 MW.

Grid-India also pointed out that the SRLDC control room constantly sent messages with respect to the heavy underwal by Tamil Nadu.

The SRLDC had said that the State was continuous since April 6, 7.30 in the morning, the demand for energy has not been reduced incessantly, and has bone in the range of 13,500-14000 MW on April 6. However, the bass-Drawl has increased.

Grid-India said that Tamil Nadu had had a considerable Drawal by Tamil Nadu on March 23, March 29, April 29, April 3, April 4 and April 5. As the southern region is in the maximum demand season, once again it is it to plan the power portfolio of the State proactively, and is abstracted with huge below the Drawals, he added.

In addition, the duration of the Bajo-Drawal period, the thermal energy station of North Chennai (NCTPS) in stage 3 of Unit 1 (800 MW) generated a sick injection of 500-600 MW.

The sick injection of the stage of stage 3 NCTPS began on January 14, 2024, and the date of commercial operation of the unit has not yet been declared, he said. The injection of the sick power will be properly reviewed according to the conditions of the system in real time, added India.
