BJP-AIADMK ties revival indicates that DMK cannot rest on its laurels

The formalization of the alliance between the BJP and the Aiadmk, as expected, caused strong criticism of the president of DMK and Prime Minister MK Stalin. He accused the Aiadmk of Seijs to “mortgage” the interests of Tamil Nadu.

However, it is not as if the DMK had not expected the two parties to join, as part of the NDA. However, it has made the DMK task more difficult since it no longer rests on its laurels, since the narrow margins could the scales in the elections of the 2026 assembly.

It is likely that the NDA obtains the PMK and the DMDK on board even when the leader of the letter, Preiliacha Vijayakant, has decided to play a waiting game.

The leader and Minister of Finance of the DMK, ThanGam Thangam, Naresu rejects the notion that the Aiadmk-Bjp alliance would represent a challenge for the DMK front. “They [the AIADMK and the BJP] It seeks to create an impression that it is a great alliance. On the contrary, it is plagued with differences. The cracks will appear soon. This has also exhibited the double game played by the Aiadmk all these days, “he says.

I have further said that actor-politician vijay had not Clearly indicated His stand, and there would at least be a three-cornered answers in 2026. Government, and the Government, and the Government, and the Gonnement, and The Gonnement, and The Gonnement, and The Gonnement, and the Gonernment, and the Government, and the Gonernment, and the Government, and the Government, and the Government, and the Gonernment, and the Government, and the Welfnmentent of the Government.

The Secretary of State of the CPI (M) P. Shanmugam feels that the new developments were unlikely to represent a challenge for the DMK front, or what part is a constituent. “The alliance may not get any more friends, except the PMK and DMDK, which was previously part of the NDA. But it will lose the votes of the minorities, and this will be disadvantageous for the alliance,” he argues.

He feels that the Aiadmk-BJP combination will resort to mobilization in caste lines as indicated by the BJP leader’s choice, Nainar Nagenthran, as the new president of the state unit of the party, replacing K. Annamalai. “Its choice aims to consolidate Mukkulethor’s votes, while Edappadi K. Palaniswami and his support base in the Kongu region are expected to work in favor of the alliance,” says Mr. Shanmugam.

The leader of CPM (M), however, recognizes the anti -incumbency factor and says that the DMK has to compensate him fulfilling all his promises. “There is adequate time. The DMK should use it and address the problems that can work against them in the elections,” he adds.

The president of TNCC, K. Selvaperunmai, is of the opinion that, instead of strengthening his position, Aiadmk’s decision to ally with the BJP, will work against. “The people of Tamil Nadu are fully aware of the Nadu anti-anti-anti-government policies of the BJP government in the Center. The Supreme Court that decision against Governor RN Ravi is another blow to the BJP. There is hardly any factor that works for the Aiadmk-Berss.

In the anti -incumbency factor against the DMK government, it says that even if it will be assumed, it will be neutralized by the presence of Mr. Vijay’s TVK. “It is similar to the actor’s feast Chieranjevi [Praja Rajyam, since disbanded] In Andhra Pradesh, who surveyed the votes against incumbency [in 2009]”Hey adds.
