Continued pickpocketing incidents in Bengaluru metro raise concern

A routine trip in the Metro became tense for Vinay Kumar, a resident of Indiranagar when he had a narrow escape from an attempt at the subject of the Central College subway station. He said the incident occurred when he and his wife were waiting for the train. “We noticed a man who stalks suspicious behind me. When we moved to a different brand, he followed us again,” he played The Hindu.

Feeling that something was not right, the couple quickly changed positions when the train arrived, catching the suspect for discount. “We ran towards the last. One of them was a minor, and both were delivered to the Cubbon Park police.

In a similar incident, an attempted theft was frustrated at the Metro de Metro Todaprabhu Kempegowda (Majestic). According to BMRCL officials, a man identified as Ganesh was caught while trying to steal a mobile phone from a traveler while boarding the train on platform 1. A guardian security guard saw the attempt and closed quickly. The Metro Security Team gave the defendant to the UPPARPET police, with the help of a Patrol unit of Hoysala, the authorities added.

‘Such rare incidents’

However, a senior BMRCL official minimized concerns, stating that incidents of collecting measurement within the Bengaluru metropolitan network remain weird.
