Condemning the governor RN Ravi for singing “Jai Sri Ram”, and ask people to do the same in a university event in Madurai on Saturday, the state platform for the common school system-TN) (SPCSS-TN) has said that Mr. Ravi violated his office oath and should be withdrawn from the office of the governor of Tamil Nadu Dewith.

In a press release, the president of SPCSS-TN, P. Ratnasabathy and Secretary General PB, Prince Gajendra Babu, said Ravi was invited as the main guest as governor. He was not invited as a preacher of a particular religion, and he was not asked to give a religious sermon.

“Due to their ignorance and arrogance, it continues to spread incorrect ideas that aim to alter peace and instigate a group of people against another. In Tamil Nadu, both in schools and schools, they said poetry and prose of the status.

The statement is also said that the literature of each religion was being taught and learned by students purely as an academic exercise, and there was no discrimination against any text or religion. Without any basic knowledge about how students learn the religious text in a secular environment, Mr. Ravi is making wrong statements.

“Education is a secular activity. In the classrooms and official functions, students should not be given any religious instruction and no one should instruct students to sing the name of the God of a particular religion …” he added.

Madurai Kamaraj, Manonmaniam sundarana, mother Teresa, Alagappa, Tamilnadu Teachers Education and Anna University Teachers’ Association (Muta) also condemned the governor. His general secretary, in Senthamarai Kannan, said that the governor’s comments were equivalent to “saffronization” or educational institutions. He also said that the governor should give up his position.
