The eastern border of India has a significant risk due to the activities of Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), which has gone to ISIS and Al-Qaeda, the main sources of intelligence have said TAVE to CNN-NEWS18. These connections could make Bengal a center for transnational attacks.
The JMB, motivated by its Salafista ideology to establish a Caliphate with headquarters in Sharia, has exploited the disturbances in Bengala. The disenchanted young people, who face unemployment and feel marginalized, are being recruited through madrasas and social networks, fountains said.
