Inquiry ordered against Drug Inspector on allegations of corruption

The Minister of Health, Medical Sciences and Family Welfare Y. Satya Kumar Yadav ordered an investigation into the accusations of corruption level against a drug inspector and ordered the officials to begin the department against the inspector.

The orders occurred after the department received complaints against him for, according to the reports, demand and collect bribes of the drug retailers against the promise of not taking measures against them for any fact. The accusations of corruption against the inspector date from 2024 and before, when I was working in Adoni. The inspector has also been accused of challenging the orders of authority and protecting a chemist who resorted to irregularities.

Based on the conclusions of a prelimary investigation on the accusations mentioned above, the minister ordered regular investigation into corruption charges and for committing to integrity by violating the rules of civil services (conduct) of Andhra Pradesh, 1964.

In a recent review meeting on the application of the Rules of the Drug Control Administration (DCA), the minister expressed concern about the laxity on the field personnel in the case and warned action against any irregularities.
