Tribal man trampled to death by wild elephant in Kerala’s Thrissur

A 20 -year -old man was killed in an attack of wild elephant in a forest area in this central district of Kerala, police said on Monday (April 14, 2025).

The incident occurred in a tribal village under the limits of the Malakkela police station on Sunday (April 13, 2025) night when three men were going to collect honey, they said.

The victim has been identified as Sebastian, a member of the Muthuvan community.

According to the police, the three men escaped after detecting the wild elephant in the dark. Sebastian was trampled to death by the elephant after falling. His body has been tasks for the government hospital in Chalakkudi for an autopsy, they said.
