MP calls for fast-tracking of Chittoor railway station modernisation, Tirupati-Katpadi doubling works

The deputy of Chittoor, Daggumalla Prasada Rao, inspected on Monday the Chittoor train station and reviewed the ongoing infrastructure development works.

Interacting with the railway officials and contractors, the deputy asked about the progress of the modernization works of the Chittoor train station. He stressed that there should be coordination between officials and contractors while executing the works so that the project could be completed with quality and within the scheduled Tim frame. “I will do my best to complete the modernization of the station and the duplication works of the Truit-Katpadi railway line,” Rao said.

The parliamentarian informed rail officials to bring any problem or challenge directly to his notification, and he would strive better to solve them as soon as possible.

Later, he speaks with the media, the deputy said that the Trupati – Katpadi Railway Line duplication project would boost the growth and integrated development of the Chittoor district. He noted that the increase in rail connectivity would provide a filling to the temple tourism in the districts of Tiverupati and Chittoor. This would cause a jet in spiritual tourism in Tirumala, Tirumala, Tiruchanur, Srkalahasti, Kanipakam and the Gold Temple in Velore. “Once the duplication is completed, it will facilitate a better transport of agricultural products from rural areas and expand rail connectivity in the region, in addition to inciting all trains express to stop at the Chittoor station,” he added.

The parliamentarian thanked the center for its approval of the duplication project and sanctioning the necessary funds. He said that Prime Minister N. Chandababu Naidu and reviewed a plan for uniform development throughout the State.
