Gandhi Hospital doctors remove screwdriver lodged in man’s brain

In a rare and complex case, the doctors of the Gandhi hospital administered by the Government in Secondarabad successively treated a man with a penetrating injury cagalized by a screwdriver that entered his right brain.

The patient initially visited an Eye Private Institute in Banjara Hills here on April 8 with the condition. The investigations revealed that the object had drilled the frontal bone and entered the brain, making it a vital life injury that required immediate neurosurgical intervention.

The case was then the Institute of Medical Sciences of Referam (NIMS), Hyderabad, the next day, but the patient was later redirected to the Gandhi hospital on April 10.
