The company of Collieries Singareni Ltd (SCCL) is ready to extract coal out of telengan for the first time in its 13 decades of existence with the beginning of the production in the mine that is assigned in the Naini block in Odisha on Wednesday.
The main vice minister M. Bhatti Vikramarka, who manages the energy and finance portfolios, will officially launch the mine on April 16. At its peak, there could be 10 million tons (a ton of millions of rupees) or coal from the mine.
According to the president and managing director of the SCCL N. Balam, Mr. Vikramark would launch the beginning of coal production in the Virtualy of the Naini mine. The so -called beginning of the production of coal by Sinogareni out of Telangana for the first time was a “historical moment.” He said that the mine was assigned to Singrení by the Ministry of Coal in May 2016, but there was a long wait of 9 years to begin production.
Prime Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Vice President CM, Mr. Vikramarka, followed the issue of authorizations and approvals from the Ministry of Coal, other agencies and the Odisha government constantly. Representations were made to the previous Carbon Minister Prahlad Joshi and the current Minister G. Kishan Reddy.
Mr. Vikramarka visited Odisha twice and held conversations with the main minister of Odisha and officials of the Interested Line departments to pave the way for the Coal Production Commission. Mr. Balam declared that the Naini mine would help Singeni achieve the production objectives and improve his balance.
Giving the details of the Naini mine, the CMD of Singareni said it has 340.78 million tons of coal reserves and that it would become the largest OpenCast mine in Singeni such as the 17 OpenCast mines existing inside the Singeni coal belt. Against the elimination of average overload or 12 million cubic meters per ton or coal in Singeni mines, Naini would require the elimination of OB of only 2.5 million cubic meters, he explained.
Naini coal in Naini would be the G10 quality or with the gross heat value (GCV) or 4,300 kilocalias per kg or coal. He said that overloading contracts, coal mining and transport were already awarded to different agencies. The mining coal would be transported by road to the nearest rail lining in Jarapada, until the construction of a railway line to the mine area, for its supply to consumers.
Efforts were also made to build a 60 km railway line in association with other mines assignments in the area as a common installation. A total of 2,225 acres of land for the mine were acquired, including 1,935 acres of forest land and 320 private land acres.
