Alappuzha secures second spot in Plan fund utilisation

The Alappuzha district has ensured the second position in the annual use of the Plan Fund in the State by spending 93.56% of the funds assigned for the financial year 2024-25. Of the total of ₹ 435.5 million rupees, local organizations in the district used ₹ 407.46 million rupees in the last fiscal year.

The Alappuzha Panchayat district spent 82.78% of the funds assigned to claim fifth in the state. Of the total of ₹ 59.71 million assigned rupees, the local agency spent ₹ 49.43 million rupees.

Among the municipalities, Cherthala got the higher position in the district and second place in the state. The civic body achieved an use of 118.66% of its plan fund, including indirerminated projects. According to the data available on the local website of the Department of Autoguenero, Cherthala spent ₹ 8.84 million rupees in 2024-25. To Alppuzha (95.64%), Kayamkulam (94.25%), Chengannur (88.79%), Haripad (80.98%) and Mavelikara (63.49%).

In Block Panchayats, Bharanikavu exceeded the use of funds in the district by achieving a 104.57% use of its plan. He spent ₹ 6.63 million rupees in the period. Bharanikavu is followed by Aryad (101.92%), Chengannur (101.52%), Mavelikara (99.64%), Haripad (97.40%), Champakkulam (97.08%), Kanjikuzhy (94.09%), Mutukulam (93.23%), Ambalapuhha (91.20%). Pattanakkad (88.12%), Thycattusserry (86.67%).

Among the Grama Panchats, Manncherry reached 115.79% of the use of its plan, including indirect projects, to claim first place in the district. The local agency spent ₹ 6.93 million rupees in 2024-25. It is followed by Perumbalam (111,63%), Veliyanad (110%) and Thanmukom (108.81%).

Of the ₹ 237.6 million rupees assigned to the local institutions of self -government in the district under the general category, the expense was ₹ 226.26 million rupees. In the special component plan category, with a total disbursement of ₹ 82.45 million rupees, local organisms have spent ₹ 71.25 million rupees.

The local institutions spent ₹ 109.29 million rupees of the total of ₹ 114.65 million rupees destined under the subsidy of the Central Finance Commission. The use of the plan of the plan under the tribal subplan was located in ₹ 67 Lakh.
