Several professors attending the contract of every Telangana organized a protest in Dharna Chowk demanding immediate regularization of their employment before any new university recruitment is carried out.
The demonstration, organized by the Assistant Action Committee of Professors Contracts of Universities of Telangana (JAC), obtained a large number of professors from 12 universities throughout the State.
The JAC has insisted that the state government complies with long -date promises to barrier its services, some of which have been serving in contract since the 1990s.
Professor Haragopal, who goes to the meeting, described the contractual employment system as a “great injustice” that has left countless educators in limbo for decades. The state and central governments were urged to solve the problem through a unique agreement, stating that the Supreme Court had already ruled in the favorite of equal payment for the same work, which makes the continuation of this disparity indefensible.
