Akhilesh Yadav asks Centre to refrain from interfering in the affairs of States

Former Uttar Prime Minister Pradesh and the leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP), Akhilesh Yadav, said he should refrain from unnecessary interference in state affairs and defend the spirit of federalism, responding to Tamil’s call Nadu to greater autonomy.

“There should be no discrimination against any state. The architects of our Constitution, after careful deliberation, created a federal system. This federal structure must be respected, without any unjustified interference,” said Yadav, addressing a press conference here Wednesday.

Tamil Nadu Prime Minister MK Stalin, on Tuesday (April 15, 2025) announced the formation of a high-level three members to review the constitutional provisions that govern central-state relations, and recommended measures for the state of strategists and federalism.

The SP leader also shared the groups of the main ministers of southern India on the issue of delimitation.
