The Supreme Court on Thursday (April 17, 2025) said until the next WAQFS hearing date, including WAQFs by the user, already registered or declared by notification will not be denoted or its character will be charged.
The Bank also obtained the Government guarantee of the Union that the WAQF Central Council would not be made appointments, WAQF state boards under sections 9, 14 of the WAQF (amendment) law of 2025, which refers to the appointment of non -Muslims.

The Bank of Three Judges headed by the President of the Supreme Court Sanjiv Khanna also said that no new request would mean with respect to the issue. More than 100 requests, including those of political parties, have been listed before the bank.
The court suggested that the Nodal lawyer can be appointed by the petitioners and five on each side could argue.
