The Global Firepower Index 2025 has published its last classification of the most powerful military nations in the world, with the United States claiming first place. Classifications, determined based on about 60 parameters, such as defense technology, financial resources, logistics, geography and strategic positioning, show significant changes this year.
In particular, Pakistan has fallen from Top 10, falling from the ninth place last year to the twelfth.
1. United States: The United States remains the greatest military power in the world, with avant -garde technology and wide resources. Command a fleet or 13,043 military aircraft, 1,790 combat aircraft, 889 dedicated attack aircraft, 5,843 helicopters (including 1,002 attack helicopters) and 4,640 tanks. 4. India: India occupies fourth place, recognized by its great army and strategic positioning. It has 1,455,550 soldiers, 2,229 military aircraft, including 513 combatants and 130 dedicated attack aircraft. The military force of India is supported by a fleet of 4.201 tanks and 293 naval ships, including 2 aircraft carriers, 18 submarines, 13 destroyers and 14 frigates. Indigenous missile systems such as AGNI and Brahmos improve the regional domain of India.
5th South Korea: South Korea occupies fifth place, driven by the threat of North Korea to reinforce its military capabilities. 6. United Kingdom: The United Kingdom occupies the sixth position with 184,860 soldiers and 631 military aircraft, including 113 combatants and 31 dedicated attack aircraft. 10. Italy: Italy completes the first ten with 165,500 soldiers and 729 military planes. Its military assets include 200 tanks and 196 naval ships, with 2 aircraft carriers and 8 submarines. Italy’s active participation in the European Union and NATO underlines its military importance.
The fall of Pakistan in the classification, attributed to economic challenges, obsolete technology and strategic weaknesses, has seen him fall into the twelfth place of the ninth last year.
