Pune’s ‘Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale’ Brand Misused To Sell Fake Bakarwadi, Local Shop Owner Booked

The famous Pune sweet brand, Chital Bandhu MithaiwaleHe has presented a case against the owner of a local store for allegedly selling ‘Bakarwadi’, a Maharashtrian snack, under a deceptively similar brand.

The City Police reserved Pramin Prabhakar Chital, owner of Dulce Home Chital In the SadShiv Peth area, for allegedly misuse of the brand name and sell the false snack that carries the authorized email identification, the customer service number, the manufacture and contact data of the brand, according to the media reports.

According to the FIR, the falsified product, with the details of ‘Chital Bandhu Mithaiwale‘It was also sold online on electronic commerce platforms.

The complaint said that in the last year, the prominent store received several complaints that Bakarwadi was sold under the brand but did not match the quality.

The Vishrambag Police Station registered a case against Prabhakar Chitale under the sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 318 (2) (cheating) and 350 (making a false brand on any receptacle that contains well Chital Bandhu Mithaiwale.

The plaintiff said that the falsified Bakarwadi packages that are exhibited for sale in Chital Sweet Home looked like the originals. The false product was supposedly promoted through online and offline marketing, causing financial losses and damage to the original brand.
