Churu, Rajasthan – April 17, 2025: Rajasthan Police seized intoxicating pills and capsules worth ₹1.4 crore in a major drug bust in Churu. They arrested three suspects involved in the operation.

Police carried out the raids between April 16 and 17 as part of an anti-drug campaign. Officers recovered 5.59 kg of narcotics, including 34,998 tablets and capsules.

A joint team from Rajasthan Police and the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) led the raids across the Ratangarh, Kotwali, and Sardarshahar police station areas. Authorities arrested Mumtaz Ali, Ajay Prakash Sharma, and Vikas Saharan. Police charged them under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Churu Superintendent of Police Jai Yadav emphasized that the police will keep targeting drug trafficking networks in the region. “We remain committed to dismantling these illegal operations,” he said.

Investigators believe the authorities intercepted drugs meant for distribution across several regions in Rajasthan and other states. They continue to trace the supply chain.

This operation demonstrates the success of ongoing anti-drug efforts and reassures the public of the police’s commitment to combating narcotic smuggling.
