A man was arrested for manufacturing and distributing falsified engine oil, after a joint raid of the Commissioner’s Task Force (South Zone) and the Mirchowk Police.

The defendant, identified as Shaik Qayyum, 32, a resident of Feelkhana in Begm Bazaar, was operating the illegal business of a godown rented in Noor Khan Bazaar.

Duration The raid, the officials confiscated 710 liters of spurious motor oil, together with packaging material, including empty boxes, labels, tapas, barcode stickers, a scanner and other production equipment. The total value of the goods tasks is estimated at ₹ 3 Lakh.

According to a Mirchowk police officer, Qayyum, who had previously worked as a motor mechanic and then as a worker in a car store, manufacturing the false lubricant oil months ago to complement its income. “The high demand for the Castrol motor market, with a price of around ₹ 425 per bottle, led it to produce counterfeit oil and sell it at lower rates of ₹ 220 to local stores.

Supposedly he acquired generic lubricant barrels, I repaired them with labels and active brands from Castrol and distributed them through local channels, “said the officer.

Based on a notice, the authorities conducted a search on the facilities, arrested Qayyum and seized the falsified products and material.
