The president of the Brahmin Mahasabha of the Shivamogga district and others filed a complaint with the Doddapete police claiming that the officials at the Common Income Test Examination Center (CET) cut the sacred thread of the students who appear for the test. Proof.

The plaintiffs have sought actions against those officers involved directly and indirectly for charges of damaging the feelings of the students. They urged the police to reserve the case in the relevant sections of the BNS.
