The State Commission for the Protection of the Rights of Karnataka (KSCPCR) has registered a Suo motu The case in the ‘Janivara Row’ related to the common entry test (CET) that took place in Karnataka between April 15 and 17.

Shashidhar Kosambe, a member of KSCPCR, visited the Bidar District Student Chamber that alleged that he was not allowed to write the mathematics newspaper after he refused to take off his shivadara. “We have also sent notices to interested officials and we will be entering a strict action against them. We will also write to the Higher Education Department to allow the child to write the exam again,” Mosambe said.

The Karnataka (KEA) exam authority, which CETS CET, has sought detailed reports of the administrations of the district of Bidar and Shivamogga, where the incidents have been presented. “It was not mentioned in the clothing code that janivara could not be used. We condemn these actions and we will take strict measures,” said H. Prasanna, executive director of Kea.

The opposition hits the government.

Meanwhile, the BJP opposition has condemned the incidents. “The anti-Hindu attitude of the Government of the Congress headed by Prime Minister Siddaramaiah has impregnated all the departments of the establishment,” housed the head of the opposition of the Legislative of Karnataka N. Ravi Kumar.
