Two people died in the place when an unidentified vehicle hit them near the Anasaram village in the NTR district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as P. Bhaskar Rao (49) and R. Venkateswarlu (46), natives of Jaggaiahpet Mandal.
The accident occurred when the victims came to the Gunadala Mary Matha church on foot on the occasion of Good Friday, the villagers said.
Nandigama police recorded a case.
