They are currently vacancies in several departments of the Tripura government despite the claims of state governments led by the Bharatiya Janata party, state regular recruitment governments. The opposition Congress Party published an information sheet on Friday (April 18, 2025) that details vacancies in each department.
Duration The recent budget session of the State Assembly, the Congress and the MLA of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) requested information repeatedly about vacancies in the form of department, but the Bank of the Treasury did not receive precise figures that cite several reasons.
The information published on Friday was based on RTI presentations made to all departments, including home, education and health. A main leader of the Congress said, the compiled information shows a total of 51,784 vacancies.
The three directions of the Department of Education have a combined total of 11,947 vacancies, mainly for teachers. The Police Department has 7,515 vacancies, while state paramilitary tripura (TSR) rifles have 2,405 vacancies, according to the information published by Congress.
The Department of Family Health and Welfare also has alarm numbers with 13,495 vacancies in various capacities. This includes approximately 1,366 vacancies for doctors (medical officers).
The relief and rehabilitation department has the lowest number of vacancies to only nine, followed by the Department of Transportation with 10.
The list includes a total of 42 departments and government agencies. The Congress has announced plans to launch protests throughout the State to raise awareness about the discrepancies between the statements of the ruling party and the reality of the employment scenario.
