Making a strong exception to the comments of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar about the Judiciary, the Communist Party of India (IPC) has demanded that the prime minister and the national president of TDP N. Chandababu Naidu change their position on the WAQF law.

Addressing the media on Friday, the Secretary of State of the ICC, K. Ramakrishna, said it was unfortunate that Mr. Dhankhar, who occupies a constitutional position, made direct comments “attacking the Judiciary.”

“The governors in many states are affiliated with the RSS. They are sitting in the bills approved by democratically chosen governments for years, undermining the democratic spirit. The Supreme Court has recently ruled that Gonores have made vice presidents unacceptable comments on the Judiciary,” he said.

Mr. Ramakrishna said that the allies of Nda, such as the main ministers, Chandabu Naidu and the Prime Minister of Bihar, Nithis Kumar, seen as secular leaders, supported the bill of the WAQF amendment, “helping to disseminate disturbances throughout the country.”

“Mr. Naidu must distance himself from this controversial legislation,” he said.

Answering a question about the new proposal to acquire more than 43,000 government acres for the capital project in Amaravati, Mr. Ramakrishna said that proposing to acquire another 43,000 acres of land shows that the Government intends to focus development in one place.

“People are questioning the government’s approach only in Amaravati, saying that ignoring the integral development of the State is not appropriate. Does the development of the State only mean Amaravati and Polavaram?” He asked, while referring to the people of the backward regions of the State.
