The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has improved its Tanka hospital to a center of superspeciality.
According to the transport giant, the movement has led to expand its cardiac and emergency care capabilities.
The hospital now houses 40 beds in its intensive care unit, a modular operation theater complex and advanced image facilities, including CT and MRI.
According to officials, the expansion aims to improve medical services for TGSRTC staff, their families and the general public.
The TGSRTC collaborated with the FACTS Foundation, to establish a dedicated cathetic laboratory and a critical unit of cardiac care. The installation will sacrifice angiograms, angioplasties and other interventions to subsidized rates, relieving the load of heart emergencies of patients.
The cardiac team has been supported by Ashok Leyland, while Indian Oil Corporation LTD (IOCL), through the NGO Nirmaan, has helped improve the emergency room, which has seen an increase twice in patients’ footprint.
The Vice President and Managing Director of TGSRTC inaugurated the new units, together by senior officials, including Ed (operations) Munisekhar and medical advisor Dr. Ir. VS Reddy.
