The political heat is palpable in the Municipal Corporation of Great Visakhapatnam (GVMC), since the council is ready for the discussion on April 19, the crucial motion without confidence that moved against Mayor G. Hari Venkata Kumari or the YSR).
With the civic body turning the nervous center of political machinations, tension is being exhausted among corporators, with many maintenance silences in their next movement.
Just as the political drama becomes increasingly uncertain, intense deliberations are underway behind the scene with the leaders of several parties that plan their strategies for the crucial meeting.
The YSRCP, led by the president of his Gudivada Amarnath district, has already made a decisive movement when opting for boycotting the session. The party has issued a whip to the corporators so that they do not attend the meeting, and also warned about disciplinary action against those who violate the order.
The NDA, which includes the Telugu Desam (TDP) match, Jana Sena Party (JSP) and the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party, are optimistic about winning the movement without trust. His corporators say they have already secured magic figure 74, which is required to win the non -trust movement.
There are 97 corporators for 98 rooms and 14 former members of office in the GVMC.
Until a couple of days ago, the NDA supposedly received the support of 72 corporators: 48 TDP, 11 JSP, two BJP, separated from 11 members of office. The YSRCP said the support of 34 corporators and three officers. Two IPC corporators and the CPI (M) had already announced their decision to boycott the meeting.
With three YSRCP corporators, they recently joined JSP and with the former officio member, Behasar Rao, launching his weight Beind the Alliance, the force of the NDA reached 76.
Apart from this, YSRCP’s corporator (Ward 6) Mutamsetti Priyanka presented his resignation to the president of the party, Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy. It is not clear if she will attend the motion of non -trust or not. His father and former minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao had resigned from the party a couple of months ago.
Meanwhile, most corporators who have legs sent abroad by their matches have returned to the city, while some of them will arrive tonight. While the YSRCP had sent its corporators to Sri Lanka, the TDP transferred its corporators to Malaysia.
