Touchi residents can wait a more Avenue with the State Tourism Department that presents a plan to establish a theme park in Mukkombu.
The department has planned to establish the theme park under the fashion of the Private Public Association (PPP) as for an announcement made by the Minister of Tourism R. Rajendar in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday.
The details of the thought of the proposition initiative have not yet emerged, sources in the department said that a preliminary survey had been conducted to evaluate the viability and a more detailed study that was carried out soon, now that the announcement had been made. The government was expected to ask for the expression of interest of private actors in the coming months.
Welcome to the decision, P. Ayyarappan, an Allur resident, said that Touchi had very few entertainment routes and a theme park gives the city’s residents an option after the Truchi Birds Park and the Butterfly Park.

The park should generate income to the government while benefiting people. “The theme park could be established along the banks of Cauvery between Mukkombu and the butterfly park in Melur,” he observed pointing out an earlier plan to connect the two Picnic places.
“Mukkombu already has a playground that lacks adequate maintenance. Despite the periodic attempts to renew it, the fun team, including the toy train, falls into disuse. It is good that the government now has GoPalakrishnan, a city resident.
Tourism training
In another significant announcement, the department has decided to provide capacity training to tourist operators, tourist tours, home stay operators and public transport drivers in tourist places of the State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Sit in Thuvakudi in the district.
The training, to be a hero in annotation with a financial allocation of ₹ 2 million rupees, would help to guarantee quality services to tourists who visit the State, the department said.
