Before the next season of India Super League (ISL 2024-25), Chennaiyin FC announced on Tuesday the departure of the Indian international Rahim Ali, who has been with the club since 2019. During his five seasons for the Marina Macrans, Ali Mactress.

Ali, a western Bengal native, debuted for Chennaiyin FC against Bengaluru FC in a duration of 3-0 in the 2019-20 season. He had to wait until the next season to score his first goal for the club, which occurred against the FC Goa in a 2-1 victory.
Ali made his debut in India in a friendly match against Nepal on September 2, 2021, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

His most productive season in the ISL was last year, when he scored three goals and provided two assists. In total, he has made 72 appearances in the league in five seasons, scoring ten goals and helping five times.
