A 69 -year -old Pakistani citizen, who was going to return to his nation, died of heart trial in Amritsar on Wednesday (April 30, 2025), authorities said.

Abdul Waheed was brought from Srinagar by Jammu and Kashmir police for his repatriation to Pakistan.

He had been living in India during the last 17 years and the police found him with a visa expired by the police.

Meanwhile, a total of 224 Indian citizens and Pakistani citizens who did not have the obligation to return to the visas of India (Nori) crossed to India through the Integrated Check Post (ICP) on the Attari border. A total of 139 national Pakistani crossed the other side.

Monika Rajani, 35, a Pakistani passport holder who had Nori and Visa in the long term (LTV), crossed India along with her five -year -old daughter Saimara born in India.

She said: “I have crossed India from Pakistan in panic with the fear that ICP can be closed at any time. I belong to a Hindu family and married a Hindu man in Vijayawada about nine years ago.

“I cross India at 3 PM, where it played about three hours for the authorization of customs and immigration. It was difficult for children traveling with their mothers to wait for all the necessary authorizations due to the abrasor heat,” he said.

Before leaving for Vijayawada, my family members and I will visit the golden temple, he said.

Following the terrorist attack of the Pahalgama last week, the center announced a series of measures, including the suspension of the Indo Water Treaty, the degradation of diplomatic relations with Islamabad and ordering all Pakistani in short -term visas to launch India.
