XAI of Elon Musk responded to the generalized reports that his Chatbot Grok made statements about a genocide against white citizens in South Africa, saying that there had been an unauthorized change to the artificial intelligence bot. In an X post on Thursday, XAI said it would update the system to address the problem.
The problems of political prejudices, the hate speech and the precision of the chatbots of AI have been a concern at least the launch of OpenAi chatpt in 2022.
XAI said that Wednesday the unauthorized change was made to Grok’s response software, eluding the normal review process.
“This change, which addresses Grok to provide a specific response on a political issue, violated the internal policies and central values of Xai,” said Xai.
Some X users noticed on Wednesday that Grok mentioned the issue of “white genocide” in South Africa in unrelated discussions on other issues, sharing screenshots of their exchanges.
