Over 30 passengers suffer minor injuries as TNSTC bus overturns near Valparai

A total of 32 passengers suffered minor injuries after a TNSTC bus linked to Valparai in excess in the 33rd fork curve in the early morning of Sunday (May 18, 2025).

Police said the accident token around 3 a.m.

According to the police, Ganesan led the TNSTC bus registration number with TN 38 N 3930 with Sivarjan as director.

When the bus reached 33a Burnpin Bend, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Kadamparai Police Station, Mr. Ganesan allegedly lost control of the vehicle while negotiating the turn.

The bus overturned and fell into a depth of approximately 15 feet. Mr. Ganesan suffered a head injury. Up to 32 passengers suffered minor injuries.

The police and firefighters and rescue services ran to the place and rescued the passengers. Wounded passengers were tasks for the Government Hospital in Valparai in 108 ambulances. Others were transported to Valparai on an alternative bus.

While Mr. Ganesan was admitted to the hospital to receive treatment, the 32 passengers were treated as outpatients.
