4 killed, 20 injured in blast in Pakistan’s Balochistan province

A bomb exploded near a market in the disturbing province of Baluchistan of Pakistan, killing four people and hurting another 20, according to a media report on Monday (May 19, 2025).

The explosion occurred near the Jabbar market in the district of Killa Abdullah in Baluchistan on Sunday (May 18, 2025), causing damage extensive to the building and triggering generalized panic.

Several stores collapsed and exploded fires in multiple establishments after the explosion, The express trustee Reported newspaper.

Killa Abdullah’s attached commissioner Riaz Khan said that four people died and another 20 were injured in the explosion.

He said the market was located adjacent to the rear wall of the Fort of the Borders Corps (FC). After the explosion, there was an exchange of shooting letter between unidentified assailants and FC staff.

The officials responsible for enforcing the law sealed the area and launched a comprehensive search and authorization operation.

The Kured included a security guard of the elder tribal Haji Faizullah Khan Ghabizai and several spectators.

The explosion occurred days after four personnel members lost their lives in an attack of mortal weapons of unidentified men in a checkpoint in the Nal area of ​​the Khuzdar district.

Baluchistan has faced riots for approximately two decades due to the accusations of the local ethnic groups and parties that the federal government was exploiting the mineral wealth of the province.
