Eight thousand students in a northern state of India would receive free laptops from the chief minister on Monday, as a step to fulfill the current government’s pre-poll promise.

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav would present free laptops to students in Ghaziabad city, located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, near Delhi. Earlier free laptops were provided to students in Tamil Nadu.
