Google has launched an updated previous view of Gemini 2.5 Pro, its “smarter” model, announced for the first time in March and updated in May, as a preview, with the intention of launching the same model to the general availability in a couple or week.

Companies can evaluate the creation of new applications or replace previous versions with the updated version of the “I/O edition” or Gemini 2.5 Pro that, according to a Google blog post, is more creative in its response and surpasses other models in coding and rashing.

Our latest Gemini 2.5 Pro update is now in a view.

It is better in coding, reasoning, science + mathematics, shows improved performance at key reference points (Aider Polyglot, GPQA, HLE to name a few) and leadership @lmarena_ai With a 24 -point score jump from the previous version.

Duration of its annual I/O developers conference in May, Google announced that it updated that Gemini 2.5 Pro was better than its previous iteration, which it launched silently. Google Deepmind CEO, Demis Hassabis, said I/O edition is the best coding model of the company so far.

But this new preview, called Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview 06-05 Thinking, is simply better than I/O edition. The stable version that Google plans to launch publicly is “ready for the capacities of the business scale.”

The I/O edition, or Gemini-2.5-Pro-Preview-05-06, was made available to developers and companies in May through Google AI Studio and VerTex AI. Gemini 2.5 PRO Preview 06-05 Thought can be accessed through the same platforms.

Performance metrics

This new version of Gemini 2.5 Pro works even better than the first release.

Google said that the new version of Gemini 2.5 Pro improved at 24 points in Lmarena and for 35 points on Webdevarena, where the classification is currently heading. The company’s reference tests showed that the model beat competitors as Openais O3, O3-mini and O4-mini, Anthrope’s Claude 4 Opus, Grok 3 Beta of XAI and Deepseek R1.

“We have also addressed the comments of our previous launches of 2.5 Pro, improving their style and structure, it can be more creative with a better formatted response,” Google said in the blog post.

What companies can expect

The continuous improvement of Google of Gemini 2.5 Pro could be confusing for many, but Google previously framed the thesis in response to the comments of the community. The price of the new version is $ 1.25 per million tokens without storage in ticket cache and $ 10 for the departure price.

When the first version of Gemini 2.5 Pro was launched in March, Matt Marshall of Venturebeat called it “the smartest model that is not using.” Since then, Google has integrated the model in many of its new applications and services, including “Deep Thought”, where Gemini considers multiple hypotheses before responding.

The launch of Gemini 2.5 Pro, and its two improved versions, relived Google’s place in the space of large language models after competitors such as Deepseek and Openai diverted industry attention to their reasoning models.

In just a few hours of announcing the Gemini 2.5 pro updated, developers have already begun to play with him. While many found the update to meet Google’s promise to be faster, the jury is still out if this last Gemini 2.5 pro really works better.

You cook, really enjoying the applications builder.

He made a game and tried it, was he using image to build assets on the march? And it is up, housed, easy to share. Really the best code builder without experience so far.

Keep building the Vibe application market, this could …
