Sensex, Nifty end higher on hopes of Fed rate pause, China stimulus

Indian shares rose on Monday, with metals and IT stocks leading the gains. China’s fresh stimulus measures for its property sector boosted the metal index, while rising expectations of a rate pause by the US Federal Reserve drove up IT stocks.Coal India saw a 4.60% increase in its stock after a rise in production, while Nazara Technologies jumped 9.91% after the approval of preference shares. GMR Power and Urban Infra surged 19.86% on a smart metering contract.
