Pratt unending woes: ‘700 engines to be removed for checks by 2026’; IndiGo scouts to lease planes

Pratt & Whitney has warned that between 600 and 700 of its engines, used in the Airbus A320neo planes, will need to be removed for shop visits between 2023 and 2026. This will result in a higher number of grounded aircraft. IndiGo, the world’s largest customer for the A320 family aircraft, is already struggling with a grounded fleet due to issues with PW engines.
