Her goal while founding Choko la in 2005 was to provide exquisitely produced, high-end chocolates to India.
Vasudha Dinodia Munjal, the eldest daughter of Dr. Pawan Munjal, chairman and CEO of Hero MotoCorp, was born and nurtured in an entrepreneurial household. Her father was obviously an inspiration to her early in life when it came to her passion and business ability. With the goal of bringing exquisitely handmade, premium chocolates to India, she founded Choko la in 2005. Since then, she has used her business acumen and financial acumen to grow Choko la into a well-known, international brand of luxury chocolates made in India.
What was once a tiny café business in Delhi’s Vasant Vihar has grown into a well-known luxury chocolate brand worldwide. Following Covid, the company also developed a strong online presence through direct sales channels and partnerships with companies like Amazon in India, the US, and Europe.
Over the next three years, Choko La plans to add stores in London, Berlin, Paris, Dubai, and the Philippines in an effort to further expand its worldwide reach. By 2025, the brand—which made its US debut recently with Amazon Global—will have spread over both the North American and European continents. Munjal also intends to open stores for Choko la across Western Europe, West Asia, North America, and Australasia in the upcoming years.
