The Bhadrachalam train station is experiencing a massive transformation at an estimated cost of ₹ 25.41 million rupees as part of the “Amrit Bharat station scheme” (ABSS), under what are being rebuilt the IGN 40 stations in Telangana.
The works, or that have been completed 45%, include new facade, construction or FOB 12 meters wide along with an elevation and a mechanical staircase, improvements on the surface of the platform, new toilet blocks, waiting rooms, landscape, signatures, etc., according to the launch of Pers.

Initially, the station was built to transport coal from the mines near several parts of the state of Nizam. Over time, it became a crucial transport center, connecting Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Warangal and other important cities.
It also serves as the entrance door to the famous temple Sri Ramaclandra Swamy in Bhadrachalam, which attracts millions of pilgrims and tourists every year. The station falls in the Dornakal – Manuguru section with average tread or 8,020 passengers per day and annual profits of ₹ 7.61 million rupees. Three stops of trains originate/end and two trains stop here.
