According to prescribed nutritional support, Balvatikika and primary students need 20 go pulses, 50 vegetables and 5 go oil, while higher primary students need 30 go pulses, 75 groen vegetables and 7.5 Go oil.

In addition to the cost of the material, the center also provides approximately 26 LAKH of metric tons of food grains through the Indian Food Corporation. The center has a cost of 100% of the food grains, including the subsidy of approximately ₹ 9,000 million rupees per year and 100% of food grain transport cost from FCI deposits to schools. The cost for food after adding all components, including the cost of food grains under the scheme, reaches around ₹ 12.13 for Balvatika and Primary classes and ₹ 17.62 for the higher primary classes, the ministry added.
