Akasa gets nod to start int’l flights amid pilot exodus & firefighting

Akasa, the youngest Indian airline, has been granted permission to start international flights. However, the airline is currently facing challenges due to an exodus of 43 pilots, resulting in the cancellation of numerous flights. Akasa has sued these pilots for leaving without serving the required notice period. Despite this, the airline management has assured employees and passengers that it has enough pilots and funds, and is confident about its future. Akasa is also working towards launching international operations by the end of this year, targeting destinations in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
