BluSmart’s Growing Troubles: What Happened?“A Service Worth Saving”

New Delhi, India — BluSmart, India’s popular electric cab service, is facing the threat of a complete shutdown. Amid the crisis, former Google Managing Director Parminder Singh has stepped up in support. He highlighted how deeply the service has impacted his own family.

In a viral social media post, Singh shared that his elderly parents in Delhi rely solely on BluSmart. They gave up the idea of owning a car or hiring a driver, placing their full trust in the platform.

“My elderly parents in Delhi have an unwavering faith in BluSmart. They refuse to keep a car and driver, saying ‘BluSmart hai na.’ Whenever I offer to arrange a premium car service, they respond, ‘BluSmart hai na. Rental kar lenge,’” Singh wrote.

He said his parents would be “heartbroken” to hear about the potential shutdown. The post resonated with many, sparking a wave of support from fellow users who value BluSmart’s service.

Singh went on to offer help to keep the service alive.

“It always takes a village. I would be happy to help in any way I can,” he said. He stressed the need to protect businesses built on trust, quality, and user loyalty.

BluSmart’s Growing Troubles: What Happened?

BluSmart’s operational challenges follow regulatory action against its co-founder’s other venture, Gensol Engineering Ltd. SEBI barred the company from the securities market, citing misuse of funds by promoter Anmol Singh Jaggi.

The impact has been swift. Users in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru have reported issues with booking rides. Many took to social media to share their disappointment.

BluSmart had become a favorite for its electric fleet, clean rides, and premium experience. Its sudden disruption highlights a key lesson—great products still need strong governance and a stable business model.

“A Service Worth Saving”

Singh’s message reflects the sentiment of many. Customers believe BluSmart is more than a ride-hailing service—it’s a trusted part of their daily life.

“Many dedicated people—especially the drivers—must have worked tirelessly to build this brand,” Singh said. “It’s proof that even an excellent product needs the right foundation to survive.”

Though the road ahead is uncertain, Singh’s support and the public response could spark new efforts to revive BluSmart. Whether through new investors, partnerships, or internal changes, many are hoping the service can be saved.
