The 76th annual Cannes Film Festival, which is taking place from May 16-27 this year, is already winning the Internet — thanks to the exquisite style exhibited by the many celebrities attending the event. This year, Indian actors like Sara Ali Khan, Manushi Chhillar, and Mrunal Thakur made their red carpet debut at the French Riviera, with many others like Anushka Sharma (again, a debutante) and Aishwarya Rai (well, a veteran) keeping us waiting for their looks.

After making her Cannes debut in a hand-embroidered, multi-panel beige lehenga set with shadow work by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, the Atragi Re actor once again opted for an attire by the designer duo — this time, a monochrome sari that was teamed with a halter neck blouse, embellished with black and white beads and crystals with multiple rows of pearls.
“Sara’s ensemble captures the essence of modern Indian fashion,” the designers wrote on Instagram, describing the look. To complete the look, Sara Ali Khan wore a matching black and white three string necklace and small pearl earrings. For makeup, she went with black cat-eye, nude lips, and rouged cheeks. A twisted bun hairdo completed the look.Mrunal Thakur made her red carpet debut in a lavender sari from Falguni Shane Peacock. The actor opted for minimal jewellery, and completed her look with kohled eyes, fuller looking eyebrows and muted lips. Silver heels added the finishing touches.

Urvashi Rautela’s vibe for Cannes 2023, without a doubt, seems to be maximalism. After wearing a fuchsia pink ball gown on the first day of the international film festival, Urvashi Rautela stepped out in a frilly saffron gown with a halter neck and crystal detailings on the second day. The actor carried a small red beaded bag with her attire. For makeup, Urvashi opted for a soft glam look.
