Tarak Sinha, one of India’s reputed cricket coaches, passes away aged 71

  2. Tarak Sinha passed away after a brave battle with lung cancer for two months.
  3. Tarak Sinha, 71, was a father figure in Delhi’s famous Sonnet Club, which has produced some of the country’s finest cricketers.
  4. Tarak Sinha was a bachelor and is survived by his sister and hundreds of students and well wishers.
  5. Tarak Sinha produced international players like Aakash Chopra, Anjum Chopra, Ashish Nehra, Shikhar Dhawan, and Rishabh Pant.
  6. Tarak Sinha’s earlier students included the stalwarts of Delhi cricket, namely, Surinder Khanna, Manoj Prabhakar, Raman Lamba, Ajay Sharma, Atul Wassan and Sanjiv Sharma.
  7. Tarak Sinha won a lifetime Dronacharya Award in 2018.
